One World, Two Stars.

I was inspired to draw this after reading how in 2019, Wolf Cukier, a Summer intern at Nasa discovered the first ever planet that has two suns. He noticed how TOI 1338 b, as the planet is known, had an eclipsing binary, a system where two stars circle around each other and from our view eclipse each other every orbit.

The dips in starlight produced this pattern that comically looks like cock and balls. I kept designing ideas for it to be drawn as the ellipse for the planet or stars, but none seemed to look right, so I decided to use the pattern as the larger sun’s rays instead.
